White Chocolate & Orange Reindeer Cupcakes recipe

These adorable white chocolate and orange reindeer cupcakes are perfect for Christmas baking, especially for kids to get involved in making and decorating.

The cupcakes and delicious buttercream are easy to make. The decorations for the eyes and nose are made from vegan-friendly fondant, and the antlers are broken in half salted pretzels painted gold.

I’m sure Santa would LOVE a little Reindeer cupcake left out for him on Christmas Eve, with a glass of dairy-free milk of course.

You can make these cupcakes a little more special, ‘for the adults’ by adding a splash of orange gin into the marmalade filling.

Working with white chocolate:

Dairy-free / vegan white chocolate is not like your dairy chocolate, its a lot more temperamental. My favourite white chocolate for melting and using in desserts like these cupcakes, my polar bear tartlets and Snowman Hot chocolate bomb is the Free Free Sainsbury’s Own. Most UK supermarkets have their own FreeFrom range, but I’ve found Sainsbury’s to be the best. It’s easy to melt and tastes delicious reminds me of my childhood fave, Milky Bar.
If you live outside of the UK, its worth taste-testing / melting different white chocolates to find the one which works for you.
