Ingredients you’ll need:

These delicious flaky buttery pastries with luxurious oreo cream filling are surprisingly easy to make with a few ingredients. I’ve listed them below for you, with alternative ingredients.

  • Puff pastry : I use the brand Jus-Rol, they have vegan and gluten-free options.
  • Oreo cookies : You can use the regular oreos or if you want this recipe to be free from wheat / gluten, use a gluten-free ‘cookies and cream’ cookie alternative. my go-to are the LoveMore ‘Oreos’.
  • Dairy-free white chocolate : Dairy-free white chocolate: I love supermarket own branded dairy-free white chocolate such as sainsburys Free From White Chocolate. Use any dairy-free / vegan white chocolate which melts well!!
  • Dairy-free milk : This is to brush on the pastries before the bake to help with the flakiness and golden colour. You can use any dairy-free milk for this recipe, i personally use un-sweetened soya milk.
  • Dairy-free butter : You can use a vegan block butter or margarine. Just make sure they’re at room temperature so it makes for mixing the filling easy.

How to make Oreo pastry swirls

Using store bought puff pastry sheets make this a very simple dessert. I use pre-rolled puff pastry that comes in rectangular sheets. Spread the filling on then, cut them strips and wind around to create a glorious little swirl. Find the full written recipe, ingredient list and method in the recipe card at the bottom of the page.

  1. Prepare the filling

In a small blender / food processor, blitz up the oreos until ground and fine. Add in the room temp butter and mix until paste like.

  2. Un-roll the pastry

Un-roll the pastry, using a spoon or off-set spatula, spread the oreo filling to one half of the pastry, leaving the other side plain. Lift the plain side up and over the filling, press down so it sticks.

  3. Cut in-to strips

Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the pastry into strips and twist to create the swirl. Place on a lined baking tray.

  4. Bake

Brush each pastry with some milk and sprinkle over some cookie crumbs, bake until golden then allow to cool

  5. Serving

Serve with a dunk or drizzle of melted dairy-free white chocolate. Enjoy!!

Description

How to make super quick and easy Vegan Oreo Puff Pastry Swirls, filled with Oreo cookie sand a white chocolate drizzle! Delicious! No-Egg, No-dairy and easy to make.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of store bought puff pastry (vegan)
  • 3 tablespoons of dairy-free milk (you can use any milk including almond, soya, cashew or oat for example)
  • 50g of dairy-free butter (softened)
  • 1 pack of regular oreo cookies, approximately 160g (you can use mini oreos)

Instructions

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C fan and line 2 large baking trays with grease proof paper.
  2. Unroll the pastry sheet leaving the baking paper underneath. This will prevent sticking. Use a rolling pin to slightly flatten out any wrinkles in the pastry. Dust over some flour if the pastry is too sticky.
  3. In a small food processor or blender, add in the oreos and blitz until fine and ground. Add in the butter and mix until it forms a kind of paste.
  4. Spread the oreo mixture to one half of the pastry sheet, getting right into the corners. Lift up the plain pastry, and fold over, on top of the oreo filling to create a parcel.
  5. Using a sharp knife or pizza roller, cut the pastry into strips (as wide as you’d like them).
  6. Twist the strips then roll into spirals (watch the tutorial here).
  7. Place on the baking tray, spread 3 inches apart (as they will spread / puff up).
  8. Brush the tops and sides of each swirl with some dairy-free milk. This will help get a gorgeous golden colour to the pastry, along with making them extra flakey.
  9. Sprinkle with more crumbled up oreo cookies (optional).
  10. Place the tray one at a time in the oven and bake for 10–12 minutes or until the pastry is golden in colour.
  11. Once fully baked, remove the tray from the oven and place the other tray in to bake and repeat.
  12. Allow to cool slightly, then serve with a drizzle of melted dairy-free white chocolate.
  13. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

To store: Best enjoyed day of making. Store in an air right / sealed container and best enjoyed within 2 days of making (or the pastry will loose its flakiness!).
